Public Hearing Monday 10 am: We need you there!

Your phone calls worked! There will be a public hearing!

We need you in Des Moines on Monday, April 17th at 10 am in Room 103 (the former Supreme Court Chamber) to tell our legislators why the Leopold Center MUST remain funded.

This is our ONLY chance to give public testimony about why the Leopold Center’s work is so crucial to the future of our state.

We especially need farmers, and those who have benefited from research and partnership with the Leopold Center, to speak.

You must sign up here to give public comment: https://www.legis.iowa.gov/committees/publicHearings?action=viewOnlineSignup&meetingID=25619. Because you are AGAINST the proposed budget cut, you should register as CON.

We need you there even if you do not plan to give public comment. We need to fill that room! You’ll know the Leopold Center supporters because we’ll all be wearing GREEN for FUNDING SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE–please join us in wearing GREEN!

We will continue to post more information here as we have it. See you in Des Moines on Monday morning! Our soil and water thank you!
